Voltalia: reduces loss in H1
(CercleFinance.com) - Voltalia reports a net loss of E15.
7m for H1 2024, i.e. a 19% improvement on the seasonal loss for H1 2023, and EBITDA up 34% to E75m.
The latter was driven by the full effect of the power plants installed in 2023, combined with the commissioning of new capacity. Sales rose by 28% to E248.9m (+26% for energy sales and +32% for services to third-party customers).
Voltalia points out that its EBITDA outlook for 2024 will be impacted by an imposed production capping and a currency effect in Brazil. However, it confirms its FY 2024 capacity targets, as well as its ambitions for 2027.
