BPCE: EU approves acquisition of SGEF

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of sole control of Société Générale Equipment Finance ('SGEF') by BPCE, both of which are based in France.


SGEF is the international subsidiary of the Société Générale Group specialised in sales and capital goods financing.

The transaction mainly concerns the financing of professional equipment.

The Commission has concluded that the proposed concentration would not raise competition concerns, given the limited market positions of the undertakings concerned as a result of the proposed transaction.
