Bouygues: contract for secondary school in England

(CercleFinance.com) - Bouygues UK, the Bouygues Construction subsidiary based in England, has been selected by the Department for Education to build the new St John's CE Academy secondary school in Grove, Oxfordshire.


The £28.2 million project will be carried out on behalf of the Vale Academy Trust. The future St John's CE Academy will be the first school in the region to cater for pre-school through to secondary school levels, and will have 600 pupils.

The two-storey building will be constructed using sustainable materials, including a cross-laminated timber frame, and will incorporate a green roof equipped with photovoltaic panels. Exterior infrastructure will feature sustainable drainage systems.
