Vivendi: nearly 8.5 million euros worth of shares bought back
(CercleFinance.com) - Vivendi bought back nearly 8.
5 million euros worth of its own shares last week, according to a financial notice published on Monday.
The French media group reports that it acquired 848.309 shares at an average price of 9.9696 euros.
These share buy-backs come after the entertainment specialist hit an annual low on August 6 in the wake of its poorly received half-year results.
Above all, they come at a time when the group launched a share buyback program in the spring, with the aim of acquiring 10 million shares, i.e. almost 1% of its capital, with a view to cancelling them.
Under the previous program, the company bought back some 13 million of its own shares on the market, i.e. almost 1.3% of the capital.
