Crédit Agricole: ECM partnership extended to ME-NA

(CercleFinance.com) - Crédit Agricole CIB announces the extension of its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) partnership with Kepler Cheuvreux to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, following a favorable decision by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).


On 26 July, the DFSA granted Kepler Cheuvreux a license to operate as an authorised entity to provide equity research and distribution services in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As part of this partnership, Kepler Cheuvreux is establishing a local presence in the UAE, which will initially cover equity research and distribution in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Gulf region.

This partnership will enable Crédit Agricole CIB, which has been present in the MENA region for forty years with offices in the Gulf, to strengthen its product offering in the region, with the addition of ECM activity.

It explains that it will benefit from the extension of Kepler Cheuvreux' expertise in European equity research to the MENA region, and from its unique access to 1,300 investors, which will be extended to institutional investors in the Gulf region.
