Alstom: sale of North American activities finaSized

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announces that it has finaliSed the sale of its North American conventional signaling activities to Knorr-Bremse AG, following the agreement signed on 19 April as part of its global action plan presented in November 2023 to strengthen its balance sheet.


The closing of this sale, for a purchase price of around $690m, finalises the transport equipment supplier's E2bn deleveraging plan, which has enabled it to stabilise its rating in the 'investment' category.

Alstom adds that it will continue to market signaling solutions in various market segments in North America, including CBTC (Communications Based Train Control) and ETCS (European Train Control System) solutions.
