Thyssenkrupp: pioneering project with E.ON and König-Brauerei

(CercleFinance.com) - Steelmaker thyssenkrupp, energy provider E.
ON and brewer König-Brauerei announce the official launch in Germany's Ruhr region of a pioneering energy supply project for improved climate protection.

Under this project, industrial waste heat from thyssenkrupp's steel production now flows via a new E.ON steam transfer pipeline to the König brewery, supplying it with thermal energy.

Thanks to this joint project, the brewery reduces its annual CO2 emissions by up to 75%, depending on capacity utilization. All beer production processes requiring energy in the form of heat are now emission-free.
