USA: +0.5% household spending in July
(CercleFinance.com) - Consumer spending by US households rose by $103.
8 billion (+0.5%) in July compared with the previous month, according to monthly data from the Commerce Department.
Their incomes rose at the same time by $75.1 billion (+0.3% month-on-month) and their savings rate, i.e. personal savings as a percentage of disposable personal income, stood at 2.9% in July.
