Rémy Cointreau: dumping margin estimated in China

(CercleFinance.com) - Rémy Cointreau reports that the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) has estimated, on a preliminary basis and with no immediate effect, a dumping margin of 38.
1% on imports into China of its cognac division.

According to the spirits group, this could imply an additional tax in the same proportions on future cognac exports to China, but the final customs duties at the end of the investigation could differ or not be applied.

At this stage, Rémy Cointreau is obliged to await MOFCOM's final decision in order to be able to assess possible future impacts. It intends to continue to cooperate fully with the Chinese authorities until the end of the investigation.
