Nvidia: EPS multiplied by 2.5 in Q2

(CercleFinance.com) - Chipmaker Nvidia, inventor of the GPU, announced on Wednesday evening adjusted EPS (non-GAAP) of $0.
68 for Q2 2024-25, up 152% y-o-y.

Also y-o-y, its gross margin improved by 4.5 points to 75.7%, on sales that are up 122% to just over $30bn, including data center sales up 154% to $26.3bn.

Demand for Hopper remains strong, and Blackwell's anticipation is incredible, says founder and CEO Jensen Huang. Data centers are at full throttle to modernize the entire computing stack with accelerated computing and generative AI.

Nvidia notably estimates its adjusted gross margin at 75% (+ or - 50bp) in Q3, on expected revenues of $32.5bn (+ or - 2%).

After distributing $15.4bn to shareholders in dividends and share buy-backs in H1, the Board of Directors has approved an additional share buyback authorization of $50bn, with no expiry date.
