Viridien: delivery of a CO2 storage study

(CercleFinance.com) - Viridien (ex CGG) reports that it has delivered phase 2 of its GeoVerse study dedicated to the evaluation of potential carbon dioxide storage sites in the Gulf of Mexico, following the successful delivery of phase 1 last year.


Both phases are available for licensing now. The final product complements Viridien's multi-client seismic data for full coverage of subsurface data in the shallow water and coastal areas of the US Gulf of Mexico.

Its delivery will accelerate the process of selecting proposed areas for the block auction launched by the Texas General Land Office and School Land Board for several leases dedicated to carbon sequestration.
