Equinor to launch safety solution in January 2025

(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor announces that it will implement a new emergency preparedness solution for the southwestern Barents Sea area from January 1, 2025.


Conducted in collaboration with Vår Energi and the Barents Sea Operation Cooperation (BASOP), the initiative aims to enhance safety and emergency management in this remote and challenging region.

The new system, which will complement existing arrangements for the Goliat field, will include the construction of a new emergency response vessel.

It is designed to improve safety for fisheries and other users of the sea.
