Technip Energies: FEED contract for H2Teesside project

(CercleFinance.com) - Technip Energies announces a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract with bp for the H2Teesside project, which is set to be one of the UK's largest low-carbon hydrogen production facilities incorporating carbon capture technology.


The project aims to produce 1.2 GW of low-carbon hydrogen, i.e. over 10% of the UK's 2030 hydrogen production target. It could also capture and store the equivalent of the emissions from the heating of one million UK households.

As part of the FEED study, Technip Energies will provide a complete design using its expertise and best practice in industrial-scale project design, integrating hydrogen and carbon capture technologies.

With a final investment decision due in 2025, if selected, the next step for the company will be to provide all engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) for the project.
