Fnac Darty: Italy approves Unieuro offer

(CercleFinance.com) - Fnac Darty announces that Consob, the Italian stock exchange authority, has approved its offer document for Unieuro, allowing the opening of the offer period from 2 September to 25 October, subject to possible extensions.

As a reminder, the offer by Fnac Darty and its partner Ruby concerns the 19.8 million shares not yet held in the capital of Unieuro, Italy's leading electronics and household appliances retailer, which has a 17% market share.

For each Unieuro share tendered, the offerors will pay a consideration equal to nine euros and 0.1 of a newly issued Fnac Darty share listed on Euronext Paris. This transaction values Unieuro at a total of E249m.
