Paramount: receives proposal from Bronfman consortium

(CercleFinance.com) - Paramount Global announces that it has received an acquisition proposal from Edgar Bronfman, on behalf of a consortium of investors, which its special committee has qualified as an 'excluded party' under the terms of its merger agreement with Skydance announced in July.


Consequently, the consultation period has been extended by 15 days for the Bronfman consortium, until 5 September, in accordance with the transaction agreement to which the media and entertainment group remains subject.

Paramount warns that "There can be no assurance this process will result in a Superior Proposal. The Company does not intend to disclose further developments unless and until it determines such disclosure is appropriate or is otherwise required".
