Amazon launches AWS region for Malaysia

(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud services division of Amazon, announces the launch of the AWS Asia-Pacific (Malaysia) Region, planning to invest approximately $6.
2 billion in Malaysia by 2038.

'The AWS Asia-Pacific (Malaysia) Region offers customers more choices to run workloads and store data securely in Malaysia, while offering end users even lower latency,' it explains.

The construction and operation of this new AWS region is expected to add around $12.1 billion to Malaysia's GDP, and will support an average of more than 3,500 full-time equivalent jobs in external companies each year until 2038.
