AMD: acquisition in servers with ZT Systems

(CercleFinance.com) - AMD announced Monday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire computer server manufacturer ZT Systems for $4.
9bn in cash and stock, as part of its strategy to strengthen its AI capabilities. NB: pmt +2.5%.

The processor specialist explains that ZT Systems' expertise in the design of cloud systems will help it deploy hyperscale AI infrastructures powered by its chips at customer sites.

The acquisition is expected to be accretive from the year of completion, scheduled for 2025.

AMD says that it recently invested over $1bn to strengthen its ecosystem in AI and to reinforce its software activities.
