BT: EE continues to deploy small antennas in Croydon

(CercleFinance.com) - BT reports that its EE brand has deployed over 1,000 small antennas in the UK, including 400 in the last year, notably at the first 5G sites in Croydon, London.


These small cells, installed on urban infrastructure such as phone booths and lampposts, improve performance in areas of high demand.

EE uses advanced analytics to identify optimal locations, offering speeds of up to 300 Mbps for 4G and 600 Mbps for 5G.

Croydon is the first town to test these 5G cells, boosting local network capacity.
