Kone: a skyscraper equipped on Hainan Island (China)

(CercleFinance.com) - Kone announced on Wednesday that it had been selected to supply elevators and escalators for the future 'Hainan Center', a 400-meter skyscraper project to be built in Haikou, the capital of the Chinese tropical island of Hainan.


When it opens for business at the end of 2026, the building could welcome 13,000 visitors a day, mainly to the shops and hotels in the shopping complex.

As part of the project, the Finnish group plans to install 31 MiniSpace DX high-speed elevators, capable of moving at around ten metres per second.

The agreement also includes 20 MonoSpace DX elevators and 36 TravelMaster 110 eco-efficient escalators.
