Ford: a recharging offer with TXU Energy in Texas

(CercleFinance.com) - Ford announced on Monday that it would be teaming up with Texas electric utility TXU Energy to offer home charging for electric vehicles.


The project should enable users of the American automaker's SUVs and pickups to benefit from particularly low charging costs during off-peak hours, between 7:00 pm and 1:00 pm the following day.

The offer comes as Ford seeks to bolster sales of the Ford F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E in Texas, the third-largest market for electric vehicles in the US.
