Umicore: partnership with the CMI Hub in the USA

(CercleFinance.com) - Umicore announced on Monday the signing of a partnership with the US Department of Energy's Critical Metals Innovation Hub (CMI Hub).


In a press release, the Belgian recycling specialist explains that its collaboration with the organization created in 2013 aims to guarantee and secure the supply of essential materials for clean energy technologies.

The project is to encompass the entire product lifecycle, from mineral processing to manufacturing processes, including circular economy practices.

The program also plans to involve various national laboratories, as well as academic institutions and industrial partners.
