Ardian: EU clears acquisition of FGP Topco

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of joint control of FGP Topco (UK) by Ardian France (France) and Qatar Holding (Qatar).
FGP Topco owns and operates Heathrow Airport in the UK.

The transaction mainly concerns the air transport sector.

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on the European Economic Area (EEA), as FGP Topco has no current or expected sales in the EEA.
