Munich Re: net income of E1,623m in Q2

(CercleFinance.com) - German reinsurance group Munich Re generated net income of E1,623m in Q2 2024 (vs.
E1,154m in Q2 2023) and E3,763m (vs. E2,425m in H1 2023) in H1.

Insurance sales on insurance contracts issued rose year-on-year in Q2 to E14,953m (vs. E14,175m). H1 sales came to E30,014m (vs. E28,448m).

Although our profit target for 2024 remains unchanged at E5bn, our impressive H1 result makes it more likely that we will be able to meet or even exceed our targets for the full year, management said Joachim Wenning.
