Sixt: Q2 sales exceed E1bn
(CercleFinance.com) - The group achieved record sales of E1.
01bn in Q2 2024, up 8.9% y-o-y. With sales growth of over 25%, North America made the strongest contribution to growth of all segments.
Sixt generated sales of E285.8m (+4.3%) in the Germany segment, E400.9m (+1%) in the Europe (excluding Germany) segment and E319.1m (+26.8%) in the North America segment.
EBITDA amounted to E384.2m (vs. E339.6m in Q2 2023).
Earnings before taxes (EBT) returned sharply to the profit zone at E62.9m after a loss in Q1.
In H1 2024, group sales amounted to E1.79bn (H1 2023: E1.62bn). EBITDA amounted to E602m (H1 2023: E542m). EBT amounted to E35.4m (H1 2023: E165.1m).
The group is targeting a further significant increase in sales and a significant positive EBT of E340m to E390m expected, broadly in line with current market expectations at the mid-point and well above the record pre-Covid profit of 2019.
