Walt Disney: increases annual EPS target again
(CercleFinance.com) - On its quarterly publication, Walt Disney has again raised its adjusted EPS target for the current year, expecting it to grow by 30% (instead of 25%), supported by its balanced portfolio of assets.
It justifies this increase by a solid performance in Q3 2023-24, with adjusted EPS up 35% to $1.39, as well as segment operating income up 19% to $4.22bn.
The media and entertainment group's revenues rose 4% to just under $23.2bn, driven by its entertainment (+4%) and sports (+5%) segments, while the experiences segment was slightly weaker (+2%).
