L'Oréal: acquisition of a stake in Galderma

(CercleFinance.com) - L'Oréal announces the acquisition of a 10% stake in Galderma Group from Sunshine SwissCo (a consortium led by EQT), Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and Auba Investment, for an undisclosed amount.


In addition, the French cosmetics giant has agreed to work with this player in injectable dermatology and aesthetics to set up a strategic scientific partnership that will leverage their respective expertise.

L'Oréal will not be represented on Galderma's Board of Directors, and has agreed to customary clauses for this type of investment in a shareholders' agreement with Sunshine SwissCo. They do not intend to act in concert.

The transaction, financed by available cash and a credit facility set up for this purpose, will be implemented through an off-market transaction with EQT and the consortium. Closing is expected to take place in the next few days.
