Bic: group share of net income 111.4 ME for 1st half-year

(CercleFinance.com) - Sales for the 1st half of 2024 fell by 0.
5% to E1,139.4 million at constant exchange rates, due to the negative performance of the Flame for Life division, which was impacted by a stronger-than-expected downturn in the US lighter market.

Sales for the 2nd quarter of 2024 fell by 0.9% to E617.8 million at constant exchange rates.

Net financial expense for the 1st half of 2024 came to 0.2 million euros, compared with -5.5 million euros for the 1st half of 2023. Net income, Group share came to 111.4 million euros, compared with 121.6 million euros in the 1st half of 2023.

In 2024, the Group expects low-single-digit sales growth at constant exchange rates. We also expect a slight improvement in adjusted operating margin. Free cash flow generation should exceed E220 million in 2024.
