Lufthansa: Q2 net profit down 47%

(CercleFinance.com) - Lufthansa reports Q2 2024 sales of E10bn, up 7% y-o-y.


Air traffic sales rose by 5% to E8.4bn, while the company posted adjusted EBIT of E686m, down 37%.

Lufthansa posted net income of E469m in Q2, down 47% on Q2 2023 (E881m). EPS came to E0.39, compared with E0.74 a year earlier.

The Lufthansa Group's airlines are expecting another good summer in terms of travel volumes. Overall, bookings up to the end of October are up by more than 10% y-o-y.

Lufthansa is targeting adjusted EBIT of E1.4bn to E1.8bn for FY 2024, and points out that this outlook depends largely on earnings trends at Lufthansa Airlines and the traditionally strong Q4 at Lufthansa Cargo.
