Morgan Stanley invests in British fintech Sokin
(CercleFinance.com) - Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital's investment funds have acquired a stake in UK fintech Sokin, accelerating its growth and global expansion.
The deal also includes investments from key figures such as PayPal's Gary Marino and Mark Britto, as well as Aurum Partners.
Founded in 2019, Sokin aims to simplify international payments by enabling businesses to transfer, hold and exchange over 100 currencies via a single platform.
Currently, Sokin processes over $2.5 billion a year and supports a variety of sectors, including logistics and Premier League soccer clubs.
Sokin will continue to operate independently under the leadership of its current head, Vroon Modgill.
