Bombardier: double-digit growth in Q2

(CercleFinance.com) - Bombardier announced on Thursday that it generated double-digit growth in all its key indicators in the second quarter, and confirmed its guidance for the current fiscal year.


The Canadian aerospace group said it delivered 39 aircraft in the second quarter, an increase of 34, and generated revenues of $2.2 billion, up 32%.

The services business contributed $507 million, up 18% on the same quarter last year.

As a result, its adjusted operating income (EBITDA) for the second quarter was $335 million, up 22%, giving an adjusted EBITDA margin of

. Free cash flow was $68 million, representing a year-on-year improvement of $154 million.

As at June 30, the order backlog totalled $14.9 billion, with a new orders-to-deliveries ratio of 1:1, which Bombardier believes testifies to sustained demand.

Following this publication, the company says it is on track to achieve its forecasts for fiscal 2024, starting with its objective of delivering between 150 and 155 business jets this year.

Bombardier shares lost more than 3% on Thursday morning in the wake of this publication, but still show a gain of more than 76% since the start of the year.
