Lacroix: a mixed outlook for the 2nd half of the year

(CercleFinance.com) - Lacroix lost more than 2% on the Paris Bourse on Wednesday, after declaring that it expected a more favorable, but still contrasted, dynamic in the second half of the year.

The group, now refocused on industrial electronic equipment and the Internet of Things (IoT) for water and energy, reported sales of 169.2 million euros in Q2, down 4.4% on a like-for-like basis.

For the first half of the year, Lacroix reported consolidated sales of €350.3 million, down 7%.

On a like-for-like basis, excluding the signage segment sold in May, the decline was reduced to 4.9%.

While the Group confirms that it expects a more favorable business trend (on a like-for-like basis) in the second half, the difficulties of its North American subsidiary should continue to weigh on performance in 2024, the Group warns.

The operational turnaround currently underway should therefore begin to produce significant effects from early 2025, it adds.

In terms of financial forecasts, Lacroix plans to communicate new objectives for the current financial year as a whole when it publishes its half-year results, scheduled for September 30.
