M6: net income down 19% in 1st half
(CercleFinance.com) - For the first half of 2024, the M6 group has reported net income attributable to the Group down 18.
7% to 85.1 million euros, and EBITA down 11.1% to 120.1 million, representing a margin down 3.4 points to 18.3%.
At 656.9 million euros, sales were up 5.6% (+7.1% on a like-for-like basis). Advertising sales rose by 4.9%, driven by a rebound in the TV advertising market and the broadcasting of sporting events such as Euro 2024 soccer.
In an uncertain macro-economic environment, the second half of 2024 will be marked by continued operational investments in M6+ and the return of the Group's major content brands to its channels and to M6+ from the end of August.
