Saint-Gobain: acquires CSR in Australia

(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announces that it has finalised the acquisition of CSR Limited, a leading player in building materials in Australia with sales of A$1.
9bn and an EBITDA margin of around 18% in its last financial year.

According to management this major transaction in the highly attractive Australian construction market will strengthen the French building materials group's presence in the fast-growing Asia-Pacific markets.

Following CSR's delisting, Paul Dalton, currently Executive Managing Director of CSR Interior Systems, will be appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company, succeeding Julie Coates who will join the new Board of Directors.
