SLB: new DoJ request for information on ChampionX

(CercleFinance.com) - SLB announces that, like ChampionX, it has received a second request for information from the US Department of Justice (DoJ) as part of its review of SLB's previously announced proposed acquisition of ChampionX.


The oilfield services group currently expects the transaction to close in Q4 2024 or Q1 2025, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.

Note that, in early April, SLB announced an agreement to acquire ChampionX in a transaction to be fully financed by shares, which it then hoped to complete by the end of the year.
