Air France-KLM: Paris traffic weighed on by Olympics

(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM says it is currently seeing pressure on expected unit revenues for the summer season, attributable to the Paris 2024 Olympics, with traffic to and from the French capital lower than expected for other major European cities.


As a result, the airline anticipates at this stage a negative impact on unit revenues of between E160m and E180m for June to August 2024, with no impact - at this stage - on its capacity outlook.

Travel volumes to and from France should, however, normalise in its view after the Olympic Games, with encouraging levels of demand recorded for late August and September.
