GSK: ACIP recommends RSV vaccine for the over 75s

(CercleFinance.com) - GSK has announced that the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) has recommended the routine use of RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccines for all adults aged 75 and over, as well as for adults aged 60 to 74 at increased risk of severe RSV disease.


This decision should improve access to RSV vaccination for approximately 23 million Americans aged 75 and over.

ACIP has deferred its decision regarding adults aged 50 to 59 at increased risk of RSV until new data are available.
