Eli Lilly: collaboration agreement with OpenAI

(CercleFinance.com) - American pharmaceutical group Eli Lilly announced on Tuesday that it will collaborate with OpenAI, creator of the ChatGPT conversational robot, to discover new treatments for antibiotic-resistant bacteria.


According to the laboratory, generative AI could foster the emergence of new antimicrobial agents, as well as the development of more specific and personalized technologies.

According to Lilly, antimicrobial resistance - a phenomenon attributed to the use of antibiotics - is an underestimated area, yet one of the world's leading health threats.

The group adds that the subject affects every country in the world, whatever their level of economic development.
