Air France-KLM : new Air France lounge at LA airport
(CercleFinance.com) - Air France plans to inaugurate a new lounge tomorrow at Los Angeles International Airport, a 'calm and hushed' space that the airline has imagined as a representation of the art of French travel.
The lounge - dedicated to its La Première, Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers - will also welcome eligible customers from KLM and SkyTeam partner airlines such as Delta Air Lines, Korean Air and Aeromexico.
The lounge - with a surface area of over 1,100 m2 and a seating capacity of 172 - will feature the creations of famous French designers.
Its catering offer will highlight French gastronomy, with dishes such as monkfish Provençal, beef bourguignon and chicken Basquaise.
A chef will also prepare on-demand dishes in an open kitchen, such as pan-fried prawns or cassoulet with duck confit.
In parallel, a bar will offer a selection of champagnes and French wines, spirits and local beers, as well as a range of cocktails created by a barman.
Finally, the new lounge will feature a Clarins treatment area, a partner of the airline for almost 20 years, where a range of three facial treatments will be offered to passengers.
Also on the well-being front, shower cabins will be accessible throughout the day, not to mention a digital press offer available via the Air France Play application.
This launch comes at a time when Air France plans to offer up to 26 flights a week to Los Angeles, which will also be a stopover for passengers flying to Papeete (Tahiti).
