Thales signs three strategic agreements with Ukraine

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales announced on Wednesday that it had signed three strategic agreements with the Ukrainian defense industry at the Eurosatory trade show.


The first agreement concerns the creation of a joint venture in Ukraine, which will be responsible for facilitating the delivery and operation of equipment for defense systems, particularly electronic warfare systems.

This joint venture will also be responsible for the distribution of tactical communications equipment, air defense systems and radars.

The second agreement will focus more specifically on 'electronic warfare', as the French group will provide the Ukrainian armed forces with specialized training, testing and maintenance services.

Under a third agreement - with Ukrainian drone and robot specialist FRDM - Thales plans to co-develop and manufacture a drone system capable of transporting and dropping ammunition.
