HPE: CMA investigation into proposed merger with Juniper

(CercleFinance.com) - The UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has announced the opening of an investigation into Hewlett Packard Enterprise's (HPE) planned acquisition of Juniper Networks, and invites all interested parties to comment on the transaction.


The authority wishes to assess whether such a combination between the groups could lead to a substantial lessening of competition in one or more markets for goods or services in the UK. An initial decision is expected on 14 August.

Note that in January HPE reached an agreement to acquire Juniper Networks, the global leader in AI-powered cloud, connected security and networking solutions, for an equity value of around $14bn.
