Air Liquide: Brussels backs D'Artagnan project

(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide has announced the European Commission's decision to support D'Artagnan, a CO2 transport and export infrastructure project by the industrial gases group and Dunkerque LNG, to reduce emissions from the Dunkerque basin.

The project will comprise an Air Liquide pipeline to transport CO2 from capture sites and a terminal in the port of Dunkerque, to liquefy it and load it onto ships. It would represent an estimated investment of over 400 million euros.

D'Artagnan, the first CO2 infrastructure project in France to receive support from the European Union, would benefit from a subsidy of over 160 million euros under the CEF-E financing program if the project were to go ahead.
