JCDecaux: IGPDecaux wins 13-year contracts in Rome

(CercleFinance.com) - JCDecaux announces that its company IGPDecaux - owned 60% by JCDecaux SE and 40% by the Chène de Vère family - has won the metro, bus and tramway contracts for Rome (population 2.
8 million).

This 13-year contract includes the modernisation and complete renovation of the stations on metro line A, as well as the installation of a
new generation of advertising space.

IGPDecaux will also continue to manage advertising on Rome's buses and streetcars. Rome's metro, buses and streetcars carry around
2.6 million passengers a day, for a total of E940m each year.

This contract is based on a hybrid model where investments will be financed by a public subsidy and advertising.

IGPDecaux will oversee the design and rehabilitation of 4 stations on line A (Spagna, Ottaviano and Cipro this year, then San Giovanni by 2026). For the remaining 23 stations on line A, IGPDecaux will carry out technical and financial feasibility studies, while ATAC will directly manage the works.
