Michelin: installation of a COSMOS machine at Troyes

(CercleFinance.com) - Michelin announces that COSMOS, a new machine for manufacturing agricultural tires, was recently installed at its Troyes plant.


This project involved multidisciplinary teams from the outset to develop an ergonomic, high-performance solution.

COSMOS is part of the plant's 2021-2026 roadmap, which aims to manufacture competitive tires and improve quality of life at work," assures the Michelin Man.

This equipment also contributes to Michelin's All Sustainable vision by reducing the use of solvents by 20%, increasing production flexibility and improving working conditions for operators.
Michelin points out that its Troyes plant is also continuing to modernize with the introduction of robots and automated forklifts. The plant currently produces 40% of agricultural tires and exports 85% of its output with its 750 employees.
