Atos: two contracts for Eviden at Eurosatory

(CercleFinance.com) - Atos announced on Monday that the secure multifunction computer from its cybersecurity subsidiary Eviden had been selected by the French Ministry of Defence's industrial aeronautics department.

The gateway will be integrated into the tactical system attached to the American carrier of the French Navy's 'E-2D Hawkeye' command, detection and control aircraft.

The solution is designed to enable bidirectional real-time exchange between authorized data from the native American system and complementary French tactical data.

The contract - formalized at the Eurosatory World Defense and Security Exhibition, which opens today in Villepinte, near Paris, is designed to guarantee the compartmentalization and sovereignty of the embedded systems chain

According to Atos, the contract - formalized at the event - confirms Eviden's expertise in the design and manufacture of embedded computers.

Eviden has also been entrusted by the French Armaments Procurement Agency (DGA) with the development and deployment of an on-board system for the French Army's Light Aviation (ALAT) carriers.

This new information system - designed to network ALAT carriers with land-based tactical information systems, thus creating an air-land tactical bubble - will replace existing systems by 2026.
