Alstom: inaugurates new section of Metro line 11 in Paris

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom welcomes the inauguration of the extension of line 11 of the Paris metro between Mairie-des-Lilas and Rosny - Bois-Perrier.


85,000 new passengers a day will discover "the comfort and reliability" offered by the new MP14 trains, Alstom says.

The line's six new stations, inaugurated on 13 June, have been equipped with a new signalling system that ensures safe train operation and control, says the company.

The MP14 trainsets, financed to the tune of E310m by Île-de-France Mobilités and operated by RATP, were gradually deployed on line 11 from summer 2023, replacing the MP59 trainsets.

Today, 32 MP14 5-car trainsets with driver's cab are in service on line 11 to meet the operating needs of the line and its extension.

Seven new trainsets will be added to the fleet in the coming months, according to a schedule agreed with RATP.
