FedEx: between 1,700 and 2,000 jobs to be cut in Europe
(CercleFinance.com) - FedEx announced on Wednesday that it plans to cut between 1,700 and 2,000 jobs in Europe as part of its ongoing cost-cutting measures.
The American courier group states in a financial notice that these job cuts will take place over the next 18 months in its back-office and sales departments.
The parcel carrier says it expects to record pre-tax costs of between $250 and $375 million under these measures, with the aim of achieving savings of $125 to $175 million on an annualized basis from its 2026/2027 financial year onwards.
