Barry Callebaut: successfully prices E700m bond

(CercleFinance.com) - The Barry Callebaut Group has successfully raised E700m on the euro bond capital markets.


The offering created strong demand, enabling the Company to price at a low coupon of 4.0% per annum. The 5-year Eurobond matures on 14 June 2029. The bond will be traded on the SIX Exchange and will be used for general corporate purposes.

Management says it is delighted with the big interest from investors that has enabled it to secure attractive long-term financing. Although Barry Callebaut has a strong balance sheet, the issue gives it greater financial leeway in a volatile cocoa market environment.
