ArcelorMittal: 3D printing agreement with Materialise

(CercleFinance.com) - ArcelorMittal announces that ArcelorMittal Powders, its business unit set up to produce high-quality steel powders, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Materialise, presented as a 'world leader in 3D printing'.


The idea of this partnership is to optimize equipment and metal 3D printing strategies using laser powder bed fusion (LPBF).

This collaboration will integrate Materialise's build processor and ArcelorMittal's AdamIQ steel powders to enhance LPBF.

Materialise's processor supports larger volumes and complex geometries, enabling process parameters to be customized and workflows optimized.

This initiative aims to expand the applications and industries using additive manufacturing, bringing 3D printing closer to its full potential.
