Saint-Gobain: completes acquisition of Bailey in Canada

(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain has finalized the acquisition of the Bailey Group, an unlisted producer of metal frames for light construction in Canada.


Bailey had sales of C$532 million in 2023, operates 12 production plants across the country and employs around 700 people.

With this acquisition, Saint-Gobain strengthens its sustainable construction offering in the attractive Canadian market.

Bailey enriches Saint-Gobain's complete offering in Canada for interior solutions (plasterboard, ceilings and insulation systems) and exterior solutions, following the acquisitions of Kaycan in siding in 2022 and Building Products of Canada in roofing in 2023.

' Having increased its sales from C$800 million in 2021 to C$2.3 billion in 2023 (pro forma of acquisitions), the Group thus asserts its position as a leader in building materials in Canada' says the group.
