Swisscom: E4bn bond issue

(CercleFinance.com) - Swisscom has announced the issue of E4bn in bonds to complete the financing of its E8bn acquisition of Vodafone Italia.


This acquisition was announced on 15 March 2024. Swisscom was able to complete the financing on favourable terms ahead of the planned closing in Q1 2025.

After issuing 1.145bn CHF in domestic bonds at the beginning of May 2024, Swisscom Finance B.V. issued E4bn of fixed rate bonds in five tranches under its E10bn Euro Medium Term Notes program, guaranteed by Swisscom AG.

The remainder of the financing will be provided by a E3bn bank term loan.
